The Social Demand Program – DS aims to train high-level human resources needed by the country, providing Postgraduate Programs stricto sensu with adequate conditions for the development of their activities.
Scholarships will be granted to institutions with legal personality under public law and free education, evaluated by CAPES with a grade of three or higher.
The basic instrument of DS is the allocation of scholarships to Postgraduate Programs stricto sensu, defined based on the results of the monitoring and evaluation system coordinated by CAPES, so they can maintain full-time students with excellent academic performance.
The DS scholarships are managed by the institutions and Postgraduate courses, which are responsible for selecting and monitoring the scholarship holders, in accordance with CAPES’ guidelines.
